Want to try before you buy? WordHopper has a demo you can test-drive on real hardware, an emulator, or in your browser.
It's limited to 20 words per game, has ~40K words in its word list (compared to the full game's ~60K), lacks high score saving, and lacks all gamemodes other than Classic.
General requirements (DOS): Any Pentium-class CPU, 6 MB RAM, Sound Blaster (or compatible) sound card. See here for more details.
The browser-based demo is available here. It's based on an older version of the game; there's not much I can do about that.
NOTE: Click in the DOSBox window as early as possible to avoid a loud sound. I'd like to fix this, but I don't know much about emscripten. Please get in touch if you have a suggestion.
